It is much better than non organic cotton because it reduces the spread of chemicals that pollutes air, soil and surface water. Organic cotton also has a lesser environmental impact because it uses 88% less water and emits half as much greenhouse gases compared to non-organic cotton. Also cotton is one of the fastest and easiest fabrics to decompose and takes somewhere from 1 week to 5 months to decompose if done properly. Overall organic cotton is better for the environment, for people growing it and people wearing it.
